About us

In 2013, Henry Anderson flew Apache helicopters over Afghanistan. Scott Young was a paratrooper. Same missions. They never met.

Nine years later they did, both leaving the Army and working out what came next. Henry saw his first cashflow model and recognised it straight away. It was the planning he'd done for 18 years, but in a different context.

He self-studied and qualified, then became a Certified Financial Planner and a Chartered Wealth Manager, both through the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. In 2026 he was named Newcomer Adviser of the Year at the Professional Adviser Awards. Scott moved into mergers and acquisitions before joining him, and was named Role Model of the Year at the Forces in Business Awards.

In 2026 we founded Anderson & Young for people facing decisions they only get to make once: when to stop work, when to sell, and what to leave behind.

Your whole plan fits on one page, in plain English. The people you meet are the people who look after you, and you won’t be handed down to someone else once the plan is signed.

Plans that survive contact with real life.

Choosing an adviser means handing someone your finances, your family and your worries. We take that seriously, and we intend to be here for all of it.
